not one of them involving you.

It's amazing how much depth one person has. As the cliche as the Transformers' tag line goes, there's "more than meets the eyes".

It's funny how despite being constantly told not to do it when we were young(er), we still very frequently, judge a book by it's cover. We stereotype people based on his or her upbringing, their self presentation, their social group. Though those with good judgement can argue that a person can be valued it's worth in fifteen seconds, I am one of those people who'd beg to differ. I honestly think a person should make the effort to get to know someone else better before passing a judgement, for assumptions are seldom correct.

Today I learnt that even though a person can be categorized and grouped into certain clicks, it doesn't necessarily mean that where we fit in is where we belong or that being in that circle of friends means he or she is required to act in a certain way. At the risk of sounding as though I'm stereotyping, I'm from a girl's school so to say that happens all the time is truly an understatement.

It's weird to me how strong the under tow is of a seemingly calm ocean. Friends having on going feuds with other friends though not seen in the public eye. I find it strange that even though I'm almost reaching the ripe and tender age of sixteen, it's still pretty awkward to be around certain people that I've known for years. I find it strange that the people I call my close friends are the same people I cannot be around with most of the time. The chemistry is sortakinda missing, the spark has sortakinda disappeared. At least I'm comforted by the fact that I am not alone.

the devils in your kiss.

My Thursday,

We got the whole tour (twice! -though the one from David was just pathetic -_-) and free cupcakes :). And I simply love asking Adlan questions like, "So what if three people want to watch the movie?" and "What does the patterns on the carpet mean?"

My Friday,

Goodness, how I love these people to tiny Oreo bits.

I've been so caught up trying to cover every event that has been happening around me that I've slackened in writing posts that actually mean something. Posts that actually reflect my well being, my state of mind or my actual emotions.

It's no secret that I'm a perfectionist. And sometimes I think that it's less of a blessing than a curse...to myself.

Oh well, we'll (I'll) survive.

jue*but it's you I've fallen into.

jue*cause you make me smile.

and now i think i'm ready.

I contemplated on what I wanted to do for my birthday for manymany weeks. I didn't want to let it just pass by yet I wasn't really in the mood to plan a party. I decided on a small lunch with the girlfriends but my mummy had a whole other plan.

Surprise No.1;

My daddy had be assigned to work over my birthday weekend so my mum had thought of holding a family dinner on the 8th. I was told that only Uncle Bashir&family were coming. The original plan was for me to go out in the afternoon so they could prepare the place. Those plans got canceled because my friends had other things on, so I just chose to spend the afternoon at home. Mummy didn't seem to pleased (which made me very suspicious). When I asked what was being served for dinner, my mum gave really weird answers like, 'Rice and Pumpkin curry only'. When I told my dad over the phone that we're having guests over for dinner, he replied with a simple 'Oh' in a how-do-you-know tone of voice. Everything was beginning to seem a little suspicious, and that suspicion grew when my sister rearranged my table setting for 8 into a buffet style setting. My mum had sent me home to wait for a lady who was going to drop of things for my dad. I immediately thought it was some form of documents so you could just imagine my puzzled look when I saw the lady unloading pots full of food. This pretty much confirmed my suspicions - my mum had planned a dinner for me and invited family friends. I should have known :)

Surprise No.2;

My mummy is well aware of my love for my cupcakes. So for my birthday, she ordered a box full of cupcakes in pretty little colours - some with M&M toppings, some with marshmallow toppings and some with pretty little hearts&flowers. But with a few more tricks left up in her sleeve, she secretly ordered a cake for me despite me telling her I didn't need one. Unfortunately, I was sent down to pick up the cake from her friend's place and the maid terbuka the box and showed the pretty cake to me. Mum was a little shocked and just said, "SURPRISE!". I couldn't stop laughing throughout the car ride back home. Too bad my mum didn't know I don't eat chocolate cake. Oh well, the others enjoyed it :)

(sort of) Surprise No. 3;

My mum had also secretly invited Nique over for dinner. Too bad Nique isn't very good at the art of sneaking around. She left her shoes right in front of the door so I saw it as I was about to go downstairs. So I nicely took my time to come down and you could hear all the shush-ing from downstairs. I chuckled inside. Haha. Nique tried hiding behind the kitchen counter but she didn't do that very well either as I could see the top of her head over the counter. Silly billy. At least she brought (home made) cupcakes. Thank you hun <3.>

Surprise No. 4;

A little past 12, Nique asked me to follow her upstairs for something. I thought I was going to get my birthday present from her but instead she stood at the door and started yelling for Vid. I thought she lost her mind for a second there. I opened the door and there my friends were, Muzzie holding a cake along with Vid, Mandy, Zai, Aishah and Kim. Vid&Mandy even made the effort to bake me peanut butter chocolate chip cookies which tasted absolutely delish. Ooh, and I totally almost drove Muzzie's car. Too bad my dad was there. Haha.

And the rest of the pictures from the night,

Dragged myself out of bed pretty early because Ming was complaining that we won't spend enough time together. That boyy came to pick me up from my place, not before he told my mum "I'll take her to either somewhere bright or a dark alley". Thanks, you totally helped. Had breakfast somewhere in SS2 after driving around for ages deciding where to eat. Mum told the rest of the family (extended as well) that I went on a date. Great, thanks mum. And Ming, don't flatter yourself :). He dropped me off at OU where I met up for lunch with some of my girlfriends.

Despite a couple of my friends bailing at the last minute, I enjoyed our small group of little girly chit chat and giggles.

Left OU in a rush to get ready for MCR later that night with Aishah, Nique and last minute Belle. Saw about a zillion people & about a trillion good looking people (read : guys) we didn't know. Managed to get in front of our 163 line, and goodness all the sweaty bodies squished together, the fat moody man next to me and the ass groping was totally worth it. At least one of the guys was kind enough to give up his front place to let four short (compared to him) girls move in front of him.

One word - Awesome.
