up, down, touch the ground.

I think I'm pretty much screwed. Ball is a mere six days away and I still haven't decided on my dress. I just don't know how to do outdo last year's dress without having to blow the budget. Technically, this isn't even my senior prom so the need for an over the top dress is greatly diminished. But I don't want to look like a Plain Jane either. And without a dress to be certain of, I can't get the accessories, the shoes or the bag done.

Being a girl is so not easy.

20th June 2008;

I figured that the only way to liven my mood was to actually head out. Took up Nique's offer for a swim at gool ol' Tropicana. Though we barely even swam, minus the less than one lap we did. Instead, we wiggled our legs in the pool pretending it'd burn off some calories. And oh, catch up on two days worth of stories filled with plenty of OMG(s) and other similar expressions.

But we then figured we'd be better off taking a ridiculous number of pictures just because we can. So we did. Picture after picture after picture. And most of them turned out rather pretty :)

Yes, she loves taking retarded shots like this of me.

See, point proven.

Took a dip in the Japanese Bath after we roasted ourselves in the sun long enough. Burnt our legs in the extremely hot jacuzzi then went into the steam room because heck, it's there for a reason, right? Attempted the sauna but then we just got too lazy so we were off for our shower. Before long, Mo was already calling us so we drove all the way to Section 14 and reached pretty much during 'lunch time' like we were asked to, despite a few wrong turnings along the way.

Picked up Mo since the other boys chose MMO over girls (not that I'm really surprised) and we eventually decided to head over to Old Town at Dataran 3 2. Stuffed ourselves silly with good food while the others started coming - Lex, Kim, Cheung Yip and Adlan. The rest of the boys probably couldn't be bothered. It's still CC > Girls. Tsktsk.

It was a pretty damn awesome day. We really should get together more often.

21st June 2008;

Collected another ball dress earlier today before mummy took me for chicken rice balls. I mean, sure, I had to sit at the Maid Agency for over an hour but who can resist chicken rice balls? And plus, we didn't have to travel all the way to Melaka for them!

Went over to Nique's then walked all the way to Jil's for her 18th Birthday Party. Good wholesome fun, man. Too bad a certain Amanda Khoo ffk-ed to go to PD (which Jil&I spent a good amount of time pleasently discussing). Hehe, I still love you (:

Went to McDeez half way through to get some ice cream and McFlurrys' just because we felt like it. Dropped by my house so I could change shoes than Annie and I ran some sort of delivery service. Came back for some more fun and laughter and of course, the mandatory cake cutting ceremony.

Stayed till one++ in the morning talking about Pocky (since Jil got approximately 58765986 boxes of it in different flavours after she blogging about it) and how we're all strangely connected. Charlson's pretty funny (:

Not many pictures from the night since I was pretty lazy to whip out the camera to snap shots. So the above pictures are from either Jil or Nique.

22nd June 2008;

Woke up early to bake apple streusel for Aishah's farewell party later in the evening. Little did I know that today would have been the worst possible day to have baked. I guess I missed the memo from the Baking Gods or something.

First, I realised that I didn't have the muffin holders for the apple streusel. So, I called my dad who was out of the house to buy some only for him to come back home an hour later saying he didn't. Headed out to Giant at one in the afternoon with a whole list of other things to buy since my grandma decided she felt like baking too. Unfortunately, they were out of stock of the bigger sized muffin cups. Scouted all over the place including several baking shops but all the other shops were either sold out of those or weren't even open to begin with.

Feeling rather defeated, I decided to switch to caramel pudding but I couldn't find the holders for that either. It's like someone snuck into my kitchen and stole all of them. Curses. After sending several messages to Annie and counting to 100 (apparently you're supposed to do that when angry), I then thought I'd just bake some plain ol' cupcakes. As I was putting batter into the cupcake holders, I realised I only had 20+ cupcakes with slightly more than half the batter left. I was already running late so I didn't know what else to do but to send more messages to Annie and start counting to 100 all over again.

Thankfully, Nique had come to the rescue and dropped off some cupcake holders from her stock. The balance of the world has been restored - or so I thought. While decorating the cupcakes with icing, my icingthingamabob decided to go all wonky and squirt icing all over the place. You have no idea how many times I had to scoop icing off the cupcake and redo them, just because I'm a freaking perfectionist. Then I realised I didn't have enough icing so I made a second batch. Accidentally poured too much colouring into it so it turned out a rather dark pink. But that didn't matter.

After icing a couple of cupcakes, I then realised I forgot to taste the icing to check if it was or wasn't sweet enough. So I did. And all I could taste was butter. That's because in my hurried state, I had forgotten to add icing sugar with the butter. Slapped myself silly a couple hundred of times and I rushed to finished the rest of the cupcakes. Btw, I don't have a maid at home, so I had to do all the washing up myself. Grandma&mum helped for a bit and by the time I was all done, it was 5.45 in the evening.

I was supposed to leave the house at 5.45 in the evening.

Came out of the shower and realised that I hadn't picked out what to wear for the party. If you know me well enough, you would know that I take almost forever to decide what to wear. Texted Annie once again only for him to laugh at me :(. But I eventually did get dressed and made up except it was now raining so heavily my dad kept on telling me my friends would be eating rainwater cupcakes.

But everything turned out alright in the end. The boys managed to finish the cupcakes and hopefully no one died of food poisoning. Even if they did, I blame it on Nique's rice krispies. You would never know.

The party was rather fun too. Just like the good ol' days where we had pool parties at Annie's house except this time the girls were greatly out numbered by the boys.

I think it's safe to say that Aishah was surprised despite our lack of enthusiasm. In all fairness, I did tell everyone else she was about to arrive.

Everyone at the dining table eating food.

Aishah walks in.

Someone says, "Oh, she's here."

Everyone else looks up from their plates and goes, "Err, SURPRISE!" then quickly goes back to their food.

Fresh meat @ UITM, Melaka.

SPONGEBOB!

Apparently at one point, we ran out of seats. Just look how happy they are. Hee :)

Kids at heart.

Headed over to Old Town White Coffee again but only just for a bit. Thank you to a certain someone who offered a certain something even though we're not as close as we were before. Really, really appreciate it.

No pictures from me again so all the above were courtesy of Lim Dominique Jo.

23rd June 2008;

I have to admit, sometimes I do miss college. Or maybe I just miss G Mamak. So I headed over to college today with the intention of collecting Ball tickets. That didn't work out since our table isn't full, so instead I went to Mama's kitchen to accompany David&Derrick for lunch. Annie eventually found his way to PBD and off we went to Mid Valley.

I had to walk across the carpark and half way through the mall like I had some sort of disability with my leg since one side of my pretty flip flops broke while walking towards Annie's car earlier. I thought I'd just buy my shoes for Ball so I wouldn't have to buy two pairs but I couldn't find them in the shop. (Thankfully I didn't though because I decided against that dress). So I bought this pretty pair of black shoes which even Annie approved of! Due to my extremely bad luck, we missed the 12.30pm screening of Maid of Honour. Settled on the The Incredible Hulk.

Ate at the closest place - McDeez. First actual meal since lunch on Saturday and I only ate because Annie forced me to. I had Starbucks earlier la but apparently that doesn't count as a meal.

The movie wasn't bad at all. I do have a soft spot for Edward Norton anyways. I superbly love the ending but heck, no spoilers here. Can't wait for the next Marvel movie, right Annie? :)

Now, to solve my dress dilemma.
