breathe easy for awhile.

Contrary to popular belief, I am not an emo, kid. So sue me if I only write when I'm upset. Geez, Louise.

Anyhoo, I've been pretty horrible at the whole 'where-I've-been-what-I've-been-doing' thing so here's a quick update on my first week of June.

4th June 2008;

Just the mere thought of my three weeks of crazy studying ending today was enough to make me forget about worrying over Econs. Though I have to admit, those weeks studying were probably the most productive weeks I've had since college had begun. Possibly the most fun too. So really, there's nothing much to complain about.

The plans for tonight were constantly changing but I finally decided on good ol' Curve the night before. Rajpal drove and boyy, I never realised how kiasu Malaysians can be. Them Singaporeans might just feel intimidated. I don't get the rush to save that few ringgit just to be caught in some massive jam. Honestly, wouldn't you burn more fuel waiting to get into the petrol stations? The jam behind Curve (where there were two petrol stations) was so insane that Pia, Rajpal and I parked the car at the side of the road and walked to Curve. Yes, walked.

So, I was supposed to have dinner with me college mates then later meet up with Vid for a multiple rounds of bitching sessions. But Nique&Aqil had somehow landed themselves in Curve instead of heading down to KL and due to certain reasons, the three of us split from the group and headed to Bubba Gump Shrimp instead.

Spent about two and a half hours there talking about everything under the sun and updating each other on the drama that constantly fills our lives. I really sayang those two la. After an hour or so stuck in traffic, Vid finally managed to meet up with us at ten. Talk about insane.

Because of our good connections, Belle&I were asked to join the taste testing at KL Hilton. If you're from HELP and don't know what we're doing there then shame on you. I think today reminded me on how much I missed their company over the past few weeks. You know who you are.

If the promise of a great event isn't enough to get you to come for the A Levels Ball on the 30th of June, then at least come for the good food. Check out our Student Council's web page for more details. Ooh, I cannot wait!

With Sze Yin heading off to TTDI and Pia to Pavillion, the remaining eight of us took a train to Bangsar where Rajpal's car was parked. I know many of you have squeezed 39805872 people into the backseat of a Kelisa but heck, eight people in Rajpal's Saga (it is a Saga, right?) was enough to make me never want to do that ever again. Thank goodness it was only to Mid Valley.

I bet Dexter had fun though.

Dropped almost everyone at Mid Valley before making our way to Bangsar. Rajpal&Angie were to meet Jon while I met up with the best friend - Lim Dominique Jo.

Walked along the streets of Telawi and throughout Bangsar Village 1&2 before finally having dinner at Devi's with Jon. Then we walked around some more and rewarded ourselves at the end of the day with brownies from Delicious and a copy of Teen Vogue. Yes, because we still are teenagers.

Oh, remind me never to make plans with guys who have short term memory. I don't really like ice cream, anyways.

7th June 2008;

Unlike most people, I traded in my bikini for a cheongsam as I attended my cousin's wedding. Left the house at 10 in the morning, came back home just before 7 at night. I kid you not, it was that long. And we didn't even go for the entire tea ceremony.

Oh, and for the first time in my life, I met my cousin's maternal side of his family. I was left speechless when I saw my cousin's cousin wearing white skinnies and having dragon ball hair. Seriously.

But it was a fun day, really. Not just for the fact that I love weddings but I also absolutely adore my Mum's side of the family because her brothers are absolutely hilarious with the things they come up with. Laughed quite a bit during the lunch reception and even more after we adjourned back to my cousin's place in Puchong - where my siblings and I found a lifetime supply of beer and that doesn't even include the cartons they brought to the wedding.

Talk about beer overload.

9th June 2008;

It was such a lazy Monday morning that I barely had enough energy to drag my butt out of bed and get ready to meet Liew Berlin since we haven't spoken to each other in about three days. But the thought of the laundry that needed to be hung and the other chores to be done probably served as some sort of motivation to get the day started (I have OCD). Oh, and did I mention we've gone through two different maids in the past month and a half and probably won't be getting a new one until...forever?

Your modern day Cinderella, right here. If only I could find my Prince Charming.

The Berl came to pick me up at about 11.30 in the morning. We were supposed to have a catch up session at Wondermilk but after successfully locating the cafe, we realised it's closed on Mondays. Clapclap to the both of us. Since I was craving cupcakes (for the record, I always am), the next best thing was to head to OU. Spent a good two hours at Ugly Bird Cafe which is where I'll be bringing everyone to. It's so cosy and pretty much secluded so we can act like total fools (which Berl&I did) without public embarrassment.

I was feeling a tad bit greedy so I had both the apple pie and the cupcakes. And then I wonder why I haven't been getting into shape. The cupcakes were delish, btw.

Berl's mum made those serviettes!

After we embarrassed ourselves to our utmost satisfaction, we walked all the way to GSC to kill time only to find no movie to suit our timings so we walked all the way back to TGV and decided to watch Kung Fu Panda. I like TGV, btw. Cheap tickets and almost empty cinema halls. What's there not to like?

Berlin though it was funny to kill me a little more in my uncomfortable pumps so she decided to walk around as we had about another half hour until our movie. Her plan didn't succeed though simply because we're two big flat slobs that sat on the first bench we saw. With no plans to move another inch, we continued our never ending stories before I saw Jason acting very Jason-like on the phone. Showed him the way to KFC (because he's a KL kid who hates OU and therefore doesn't know where KFC is) where he and Berl spent some time erm, pleasantly discussing a mutual acquaintance.

Why hello, Mr. President.

Alex came along and Berl&I dragged the both of them to watch Kung Fu Panda with us. But because Jason eats chicken at the speed of a tortoise crossing a four-lane highway and Alex having to drop his suit off at his tailor, we ended up missing the first twenty minutes of the show.

Alex is going to kill me.

I don't know why everyone was so excited over this movie. It's about a damn panda, for goodness sakes. There were so many times where I just went WTF? at the Omg-this-cannot-be-happening scenes. Oh well, one man's meat is another man's poison.

Alex insisted on lunch so the four of us headed over to Dave's while waiting for the others to finish at Waffle World.

Berlin went off to meet another friend and soon it was the usual again. Walked around some more trying to think of things to do before we met up with Dexter and headed to Pick n' Brew. I excitedly pointed out the delicious cupcake place (Ugly Bird Cafe) to Alex only for him to mutter some words I chose to not hear.

Dexter&Jason watching porn.

Ooh, I like Pick n' Brew too! That little alley way (according to Dexter) would be my new favourite place in OU. Oh, I had fun with AlexPiaDexterJasonRajpal&Debbie. It's amazing how much nonsense we can come up with including Alex being Nick Jonas, Pia being Osama bin Laden and here's the real kick, Dexter being Hannah Montana.

Jason : Are you sure your parents won't mind me over for dinner?
Dexter : What? My parents always have money!

He actually wanted to say that his parents always are at home/have dinner at home/have food/something like that. Now we all know what Dexter (not so) secretly thinks.

Okay, it was really a HTBT moment la.

But all in all, I had a good last couple of days despite Sunday night's drama. (Btw, I love you Vidhya Raman).

Hm, now to roll in the hectic weeks.
